Sivayogam charity

SIVAYOGAM (Charity Reg. No. 1050398) MUTHTHUMARI AMMAN TEMPLE

1. The temple is administrated by Sivayogam, a charity registered with the charity commission in 1995. It is situated at 180-186 Upper Tooting Road. It has been acclaimed as a model Hindu Saiva Temple, because of punctuality, cleanliness and the graceful status.

2. The temple is open from 8.00 am to 9.00pm every day to cater for all sections the public.

3. About 300 to 400 devotees visit this temple daily and find peace and solace.

4. On festival days over 1000 devotees attend service and are catered for. Over 5,000 attend the Chariot Festival that is held on the Bank holiday in August each year and everyone is catered for..

5. 12 priests and 6 assistants are employed to attend to the congregation. They are provided with free accommodation, uniforms, food and all their needs.

6. In addition to religious prayers we have cultural events, social services to our congregation and help our devotees in their hour of need.

7. Annually we conduct a Muththamil Villa which encourages all children to participate in cultural activities and encourage them with awards.

8. On the August Bank holiday we have one day Chariot Festival which attracts 1000 of devotees from all over the country. The chariot is taken through the town centre and is in a park for the whole day. It is a beautiful pageant is a day of cultural and social day for all.

9. In addition to all the above activities we are funding many orphanages and home for the elders and subscribe to schools. We have been helping with aid to all who were affected by natural disaster as well as the war.

10. We have a beautiful wedding hall that provides all services inclusive to conduct a wedding. Many cultural and social events are held. We also have free medical consultations held by volunteer doctors.
